Hi, I’m Jack, a 19-year-old Economics and Finance major at the University of Sydney. Throughout my HSC journey in 2024, I had one goal in mind: to be accepted into Economics at the University of Sydney. However, one term in, after struggling for a long time with English, it became apparent this goal wouldn’t materialise if I didn’t get help.

A second term in, after seeking help from two separate tutors, it was even more apparent that I needed better support. It wasn’t until I tried my third tutor that I actually saw results. Not surprisingly, this corresponded with better resources, a more personal 1:1 approach, and the fact that she herself had recently graduated and understood what it took to ace English in the HSC.

After achieving 50–60% in English Advanced throughout most of the HSC, I graduated with an 88 in the course, ultimately enabling me to get into my dream degree. In 2025, I then began tutoring others in Mathematics Standard, Economics, and English Advanced, with the goal of replicating what actually worked and improving what didn’t. Now, I want as many people as possible to experience the same success I had through tutoring.
